Our Food
The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the Devon countryside. We’re surrounded by wonderful local farmers and growers, and we aim to make the most of this by using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from our nearby family farm or from carefully chosen suppliers, and most of our fish is supplied by our very own fleet of fishing boats, landing at Exmouth, Brixham and Newlyn. Our menus change regularly to reflect the seasonal availability of local ingredients. Each dish is prepared with care by our chef, and we are more than happy to accommodate different dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free (please discuss this with us when you make your booking). Our menus are inspired by the seasons and by the local, sustainable ingredients available to us from our farm and fishing boats. As well as offering traditional pub fare, we offer carefully chosen daily specials.

Our Meat
The family has farmed the same land in East Devon for five generations, and experience has taught us much. The meat we use at the Kings Arms is produced either on our family farm or by carefully selected suppliers, many of them local. The Greendale beef herd is pastured just minutes away from the pub, in fields overlooking the Jurassic coast; beef is prepared for us by the award-winning butchers at our sister company, Greendale Farm Shop.
Our Seafood
The family farm at Ladram Bay, Devon, affords easy access to the rich waters of Lyme Bay. We’ve been involved in the fishing industry for over 50 years, starting out in the 1960s with just a small, five-metre beach boat, and going on to buy, work and sell over 35 fishing boats. Today, the fleet comprises over 20 well-maintained boats, based around the southwest coastline. The boats return most days with a new catch; within hours of leaving the sea, fresh fish can often be on its way to the skilled fishmongers at our own nearby Greendale Farm Shop, and then on to us here at the Kings Arms Otterton. The fish available may vary from day to day, depending on the catch, but it is always to be found on the Kings Arms menu.
